On 1/12/2010 9:53:09 PM UTC an earthquake of magnitude 7 and depth 10km has struck a very highly populated area in the
West Province (population: 2.2 million) in Haiti. This earthquake can have a high humanitarian impact since the affected
region is very highly populated and has medium resilience for natural disasters.
